Word from CEO
HHUMC: A Rising Star from the Ashes of a Devastated Country.
Dear patients, families, and the community we serve: I want to personally welcome you to HHUMC or as it is well known Hammoud University Hospital.
I am happy you visited the hospital website and hope you find it helpful in terms of answering questions about your healthcare, find a medical provider or learn about our services that we offer. When you visit our hospital, you will find a team of specialists committed to our mission- To care for patients and their families as they are our own.
HHUMC has proven itself to be one of the pillars in providing healthcare services to its community in Saida and surrounding areas and has expanded to encompass a large catchment area in Lebanon as well as abroad. Our yearly patients ‘encounters tops – 24000 inpatients, 100000+ outpatients, 13000 ER visits, 2400 Babies deliveries, as well 10000+ operative procedures.
HHUMC legacy is well imprinted in the minds of many people- those who were born in this hospital, worked here, or medically treated with passion, enthusiasm and professionalism. Despite all the challenges of the turmoil Lebanon is going through, the new administration (after the hospital has been acquired in January 2021) along with the medical team represented by doctors, nurses, technicians and administrators have set an unyielding commitment to have this hospital rise from the ruins of a devasted economy and blossom over the coming years to become one of the most important medical centers in the region.
We were able to turn the negatives into positives, and losses into gains, postponement into renovation. This has been done in a culture nurtured with empathy, enthusiasm and perseverance. Our medical staff has proven to be one of the most capable personnel in the field of medicine.
Despite our country’s dwindling resources, the hospital with its clinical team has set forth an example of integrity, success and determination to provide the best care that can be possibly provided to patients where their goals are met, family concerns are answered, collaboration and shared decision making are geared to provide the best care, and transparency in our transactions. In conclusion, I want to assure that everyone here at our hospital is committed to working diligently to provide the excellent services that our patients have grown accustomed to.
I truly look forward to hearing about your experience at our hospital either directly by phone or email and through your response to one of our patient surveys. Thank you for giving us an opportunity to serve your healthcare needs.
