Patient Activity Guidelines

Organize a Patient Activity:

Thank you for your interest in organizing an activity for our dear patients at HHUMC. Below are few information that you need to know to have a smooth visit and ensure your safety and the safety of our patients.

General Instructions: i. Organizers present during the activity shall be at least 18 years old.

ii. Group size is limited to 6 people.

iii. The activity length shall not be more than 45-60 minutes.

iv. Any person exposed to contagious diseases (chicken pox, shingles, hepatitis, measles, mumps, pink eye, etc.) in the past four weeks or had flu-like symptoms (vomiting, rash, fever, diarrhea, etc.) in the past two weeks or fever of 38 degrees Celsius on the day of the event is asked NOT to visit.

v. Organizers are kindly requested not to exchange phone numbers or addresses with patients. Patients’ confidentiality shall be respected at all times.

vi. Organizers are asked to dress appropriately in the hospital premises. No shorts, tank tops, low-cut blouses, or sandals.

vii. The activity should be religiously and politically, ethnically and culturally neutral (including gifts and pamphlets) because we have patients from many different backgrounds.

Gifts Instructions: Toys or favors will be screened by the Events Committee in advance for safety and appropriateness. All gifts or toys shall be CE approved. Used items will not be accepted. Latex balloons, candles, knives, toy guns, water guns or other unsafe materials are not accepted. If organizers want to bring food, the Events Committee will refer to Nutrition department for instructions. Media Coverage Instructions: Organizers are not allowed to take photos or videos for patients. Our Marketing team will take photos/videos after asking patients to sign consent forms and will then send the approved media to organizers. Any use of HHUMC name and logo shall be coordinated with the Marketing team
