The Laboratory Training Program, coordinated by Zeina Assaad, offers a comprehensive one-month internship designed to bridge academic theory with real-world diagnostic operations.

Prior to starting, trainees undergo pre-employment laboratory testing to ensure their safety throughout the clinical rotations.

Trainees receive a dedicated training guide to document and track their progress through each laboratory division. Under direct supervision, interns perform essential tasks including sample and media preparation, preparing and examining hematology, serology, and parasitology slides, recording lab results, monitoring daily quality control logs, and operating analyzers. Trainees also participate in blood bank operations, gaining practical exposure to donor procedures, as well as the preparation and distribution of blood components. Student progress is verified through ongoing skill-validation assessments, concluding with a final competency evaluation and a trainee feedback session to help continuously enhance the program.

Upon successfully completing the program, trainees receive an official certificate of completion.
